Pathways into Construction

We will offer you a chance to get your initial 2-year CSCS Green Labourer Card, Asbestos Awareness, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Safety certificates, help and advice to overcome any barriers you have and much more to help you find work

Open to anyone over 16 years and unemployed

Individuals will be required to attend:

12 days at Abbey Access Training from 9.30am – 4.00pm
Followed by ongoing support sessions until employment secured

Induction and Enrolment, Initial Assessments, File setup with memory sticks, CSCS Practice
CV Lessons and produce/update CV, job search
Cover and Speculative letters, job search
Application forms, CSCS practice and job search
Asbestos Awareness, CSCS practice, work on CV and Spec letter and intensive job search

First Aid Training
Site Safety Awareness
Manual Handling, Job Search/CSCS practice and Interviews with employers
Fire Safety course, CSCS practice, work on CV/Spec letter, intensive job search and Construction event at the Showground
CSCS practice, intensive job search and CV and Spec letter updates
CSCS practice, intensive job search and CV and Spec letter updates
CSCS Tests, mock interviews, job search consolidation and final reviews

After this, participants will be offered extended support to gain employment.
